Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

Few questions are more difficult than this one.

Illness.

Cancer.

Accidents.

Loss.

War.

Children suffering.

If God is good, why does He allow pain?

The Bible does not give one simple sentence that explains every tragedy.

Instead, it gives us something far more personal.

It gives us a God who stepped into suffering Himself.

Jesus did not watch pain from a distance.

He experienced betrayal.

Rejection.

Physical agony.

Grief.

Death.

Christianity does not teach that suffering is good.

It teaches that God refuses to leave us alone in it.

Sometimes we never understand why something happened.

But we can know who walks beside us while we live through it.

Hope does not always come from having every answer.

Sometimes hope comes from knowing we are not abandoned.
