"The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

— Psalm 34:18

When Words Are Hard to Find

Heavenly Father,

Today my heart feels heavy.

The silence left behind by the person I love seems louder than the noise of the world around me.

There are moments when I still expect to hear their voice, see their smile or share one more conversation. Then reality returns, and the ache begins all over again.

Lord, You know every tear I have cried and every tear I have tried to hide.

You understand grief because Your own Son stood beside grieving families and wept with them.

Please stay close to me in these difficult days.

When memories bring comfort, help me treasure them.

When memories bring pain, help me carry them.

When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I do not carry this burden alone.

Give me strength for today without asking me to carry tomorrow.

Surround me with people who will walk beside me with kindness, patience and compassion.

Help me believe that love is never wasted, that hope is never truly lost, and that even in the darkest valley, Your light still shines.

Thank You for holding me when I no longer feel strong enough to stand.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen.
