Prayer Before Surgery

Before the Hospital Doors Open

Loving Father,

As I prepare for surgery, I place myself into Your loving hands.

You know my fears before I speak them.

You know the questions I carry and the uncertainty that lies ahead.

Lord, walk with me into the operating theatre.

Be with every doctor, every nurse and every member of the medical team.

Guide their hands.

Give them wisdom.

Grant them calmness and clarity in every decision they make.

Please surround my family with Your peace while they wait.

Calm every anxious thought within me.

Help me remember that even here, in this hospital room, I am never alone.

Whatever lies ahead, hold me securely in Your love.

Thank You for Your constant presence.
